	July 1, 2008 Join Ohio’s Readiness Efforts and Get Prepared September marks the observance of National Preparedness Month, a nationwide coordinated effort encouraging Americans to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses and schools. Please join the Division of EMS and a diverse group of national, state and local partners in highlighting the importance of emergency preparedness and promoting community involvement through a wide variety of events and activities.
	July 1, 2008 Ohio Homeland Security and Partners Promote Citizen Involvement in Ongoing Northern Border Initiative Ohio Department of Public Safety Director Henry Guzmán, Ohio Department of Natural Resources Deputy Director Anthony Trevena, representatives from Ohio Homeland Security, U.S. Border Patrol, Lorain County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement today joined partners and community leaders from Lake Erie’s North Coast region to dedicate a new boat, to be used by the Lorain County Sheriff in coordination with the Northern Border Initiative to keep Ohioans safe.

	June 30, 2008 EMS Focuses on Reducing Crash Rates for Teen Drivers During Trauma Season The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Division of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will promote “100 Days of Summer” Campaign to teen motorists and their passengers, aiming to reduce the number of youth injuries and fatalities on Ohio roads caused by inattention, failing to buckle up, speeding, and impaired driving.
	June 27, 2008 Lorain County Boat Dedicated for Use as Part of Northern Border Initiative Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) will be dedicating a new boat purchased by Homeland Security to be used by the Lorain County Sheriff as part of the Northern Border Initiative.
